Question: Will you be processing transaction in a retail environment, where the customer is present?
Answer: If you have a retail store where the customer presents his card and signs the transactions receipt, you simply need a terminal and printer.
Question: Will you be traveling or accepting credit cards at a remote location? (Trade shows, transportation etc.)
Answer: If you will be traveling as well as accepting orders in a retail environment, then you probably need a Wireless Terminal/Printer.
Question: Will you be accepting orders thru internet shopping cart or mail order?
Answer: If you never have customers present and have reoccurring billing from returning customers then you may only need Accounting Software and a Payment Gateway to process Credit Card Transaction
Questions: Will you be selling retail an over the internet's via a shopping cart?
Answer: If you sell over the internet with a shopping card and also have customers present who present their credit card and sign the credit card receipt? Then you will probably need both options. Credit Card Software and Payment Gateway, plus a Credit Card Terminal and Printer.
Question: Do you have a "fast service" retail operation?
(Gas Station, Coffee House etc.)
Answer: If you have a "fast service" retail operations and have a lot of small ticket sales of $25 or less? Then a "Tap & Pay" device may be the technology to speed up your retail operations. "Tap & Pay" technology is sometime called a "fast pay" where the customer waves a device over the terminal to quickly pay for services.
